I am a firm believer that there are core areas of knowledge that everyone should master. In every area of life - work, home, church, relationships - a base of knowledge/grammar is essential. There is a classical model for education that has proved successful for centuries, yet modern education has forsaken the basic three tenants of successive learning as a child advances from elementary, middle to high-school and beyond. The way a child develops aligns with the classical model: beginning with a foundation of grammar, next rhetoric and finally dialectic. This method of education gives the strongest foundation for children, but the principles also apply to adults. The mindset of growth - learning how to learn, being a lifelong learner and challenging yourself to apply what’s being learned are invaluable to everyone.
